Portraits from the Past

“Teach me to do Thy will; for Thou art my God: Thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.”
Psalm 143:10
Hello one and all!
I’ve noticed people tend to like the Josh Groban portrait that I showed awhile back, so I thought I would share some more portraits that I’ve worked on. They are not new, but I’m still working on some new ideas that aren’t quite ready yet, so I’ll show these in the meantime. 🙂
This is a random actor from somewhere, and I can’t remember who he is… I probably did know at the time I drew his portrait, but I can’t recall it now 😛
And this next one is not a real person.. my mom has these neat statues that allow you to practice shading techniques, depending on where your lighting source is and the angle you place the statue at. It’s actually really neat and I’d like to do more of it in the future. 🙂

These drawings were not done with charcoal, they were done with just your regular No. 2 pencil. I do think I prefer the charcoal look and it seems to show up better in the pictures, so I will probably be continuing with it going onward.

Thanks so much for taking the time to look at my artwork! I hope you have a blessed rest of the week and, Lord-willing, I’ll have another post for you next Thursday. God bless! 🙂
