Thoughts on Life

“Whom have I in heaven but Thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside Thee.”
Psalm 73:25
C. H. Spurgeon once said, “There are times when solitude is better than society, and silence is wiser than speech.”
Have we become lost in our day to day activities?
So many people speak or act, and yet they never really listen or think.
But actions have consequences, and speech requires someone to listen.
As a society, have we become so caught up in daily “nothings” and pure routine that we have become lost in them?
What really is your priority? Is it finances? Pleasing others and/or yourself? Education? Is it purely having fun? Or is it God?
Think on it. The next time you feel the urge to speak unnecessarily, stop and listen. The next time you feel the urge to go out with friends, take a moment to appreciate the solitude.
It is in the silence that God often speaks to His beloved children.
Solitude with the Lord is the best way you can spend your time! 😀
Thank you so much for taking a look at my blog and, Lord willing, I hope to have a Christmas post for you next week. See you then! God bless 🙂
