A Day in My Shoes

I really don’t know why I haven’t done this sooner.

What is life like for me?

Well, for those of you who don’t know me, I am a small-town girl in my early twenties who is just trying to stay afloat in this thing called life. I dream of adventure, but at the end of the day I like to “play it safe”. And that’s okay. Contradictions seem to be a part of my life; I’ve learned to deal with it. 😉

So what is a typical day like for me?

Typically, I like to sleep in, but I won’t say till when. *ahem, nervously fidgets and avoids eye contact*

I’ve never been a morning person. I have always liked the idea of it, but whenever I try it I kind of feel like I’m dying. Oh well!

What’s the first thing to do when you wake up?

Okay, don’t judge me for this, I know I’m not the only one who does it. When I wake up the first thing I do is…… *drumroll* …lie in bed and try to go back to sleep. But really, who doesn’t do that? Who in the world wakes up and automatically jumps to their feet and goes about their day as if they’ve been awake for hours?? I certainly don’t.

Breakfast or no?

This one just depends. If I had a big dinner or a late dinner the night before, then I’m usually not hungry in the morning. But sometimes I will wake up because I’m hungry! Go figure! Usually though, I skip breakfast. I might have a smoothie or something small, but that’s it. And coffee. I always have coffee, morning or not. Just because coffee is that great.

Coffee is delicious.

Coffee is mouthwatering.

Coffee is wonderful.

Coffee is a little bit of heaven on earth.

Any morning exercises to start the day?

Umm.. I’m going to skip this one. Haha 😛

What’s the next step then?

I do my devotionals in the morning and check my blog and social media, and then I basically meander around the house doing homework (math is so tedious!), chores, and any random stuff I find interesting like drawing. Sometimes I venture out of the house to go to class, or to work, or do any shopping that is necessary. But only shopping that is absolutely necessary. Why? Because I am a poor college student and gas is expensive. I’m not whining, I promise. But seriously though.. gas. It really is a good excuse not to go out.

When do you draw?

Basically whenever I find the time. Sometimes it takes me all day to think of something that I actually want to draw and I won’t finish till late at night. Other times, I know exactly what I want to draw and I just procrastinate and don’t finish till late at night. I know, I have a problem. #procrastination

When do you blog?

Pretty much whenever I feel like it! I either have so much to say that I feel sorry for anyone following me because I post too much or else I have absolutely nothing to say and have to struggle to come up with something decent for my next post. It really just depends.

How do you end your day?

I stay up super late doing absolutely nothing of any importance and then fall into bed exhausted and wonder why I didn’t just go to bed earlier. Then I wake up the next morning wondering why I’m always tired and basically do the same thing all over again. Have I mentioned I like routines? 😉
