My Addiction

I know there are those people who drink coffee just for the fun of it, but I think most people drink coffee to stay alert. Most people also can tell when they’ve had too much and they start to shake a little bit.

I, on the the other hand, am the opposite. I drink coffee because I need it desperately.

I shake when I don’t drink the coffee. It starts as a little tremor in my hands and then it just kind of spreads through the rest of me like wildfire. I can’t help it. Well, that’s not necessarily true; I can help it – by drinking coffee.

But let me explain before you jump to the conclusion that I’m just another caffeine addict. Coffee for me isn’t just the thing that helps me make better decisions and have clearer thinking. Coffee is a necessity. Really, it is. How? I’m glad you asked! Let me tell you. 🙂

Coffee feeds my soul. It gives me personality and makes me less boring. Without coffee I’m just a shell of a person. There’s really nothing life-like about me without coffee.

I need coffee to stay sane. I must have coffee daily and several times a day at that. It stops my headaches. It warms me, calms me, and takes me to my happy place. Coffee is heavenly.

I’m convinced there is nothing that coffee can’t solve. In fact, if – and that’s a big if – coffee can’t fix it, then it must be a very serious problem.

Really though, coffee makes everything better.

In fact, I don’t function well, if at all, without my coffee.

It really is just better for me to have the coffee.

I think it’s funny that people seem to think I’m joking when I say I’m a coffee enthusiast. As if that’s not a legitimate thing! 😉
