I recently got sick — again — and I’ve had so much time on my hands. Usually I can recover from a cold pretty quickly, but this time around it really stuck. I couldn’t work, I couldn’t go out, I couldn’t even get out of bed at first! I was miserable! I have to confess that as I write this I’m still not quite well, but here are a few of my favorite things that keep me pleasantly distracted from my current plight. 🙂
I never get enough sleep and now I get to sleep so much! It really is a blessing in disguise. 😉
2. Bath Bombs.
Alright, I’ll admit that this one isn’t really for me. I’ve never liked baths, but I know people who do and they love bath bombs when they get sick. So if you like to take baths then go ahead and throw a bath bomb in there while you’re at it!
Netflix is all great and dandy, but what happens when you run out of all your favorite shows to binge-watch? Trust me, movies can get old when that’s the only thing you do. Books though, books will take your mind on adventures far beyond whatever Hollywood plots can do. Books are like a whole other world where you can travel to wherever, whenever, and where magic can come to life! Books are pretty great! 😉
I’ll admit it. I’m one of those people who likes to lounge around in my “jammies” until I absolutely have to get dressed for the day. They’re just so comfortable and if you’re sick at home, what’s the harm? It’s not like anyone will see you and gasp at the fact that it’s noon and you’re still not dressed.
