Saying Goodbye

saying goodbye

I think it was Shakespeare who said, “Parting is such sweet sorrow.”

Well, I’m convinced he was wrong. Saying goodbye is one of the hardest things to do and it’s definitely not sweet.

At least, I’ve not found it sweet. It’s bitter and it hurts.

I had to say goodbye to a good friend today, and even though I knew it was coming, I still wasn’t quite prepared for the after shock of realizing I may never see him again.

I didn’t cry, but I wanted to.

I won’t cry if I can help it. He’s moving on to the next stage of his life with his family and I’m happy beyond measure for him.

I just wish he didn’t have to go.

But it’s not like we’re never gonna talk again. I’ll still text him a gazillion times till he gets sick of me and thinks about losing my number (haha he wouldn’t do that), and he’ll still send me the most random, quirky memes that he can possibly find on Instagram, we’ll laugh at the most ridiculous jokes and have the strangest conversations.

And we’ll enjoy it immensely.

I know what you’re thinking! We have such a solid friendship. I know. I wouldn’t trade it for anything, he’s definitely one of a kind. I know it’s hard, but try not to be jealous. 😉

I’m so thankful I got to get my baby gecko and my awesome new lamp from him while I had the chance! He’s really a great guy to know.

So umm… you should check out his channel on YouTube… #plug

Just sayin’, he’s pretty great! I’ll leave his link, so be sure to check him out when you can! You really won’t regret it.

Mechanical Ninjineer, thanks for the memories. You’re kinda awesome I guess. Haha

P.S.

Something to know about him though is that he really loves dogs more than life itself. His love of dogs is flat out admirable. Stuff to aspire to! 😉
