Top 5 Reasons I Love Harry Potter

Top 5 Reasons I Love Harry Potter

It’s no secret to anyone who knows me that I love two things, very, very dearly. Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. I grew up watching Lord of the Rings and reading the books and I will most definitely be making a post on it very soon!

But for this blog post, I’ve decided to write about why I love Harry Potter. I first saw Harry Potter when I was 16 and I honestly didn’t really pay that much attention to it. I kinda forgot about it for awhile, until I decided to watch it again with some friends and we made a marathon out of it last year sometime.

That’s when I really realized that I LOVE HARRY POTTER. Like a lot. I’ve rewatched it so many times since then that I’ve lost count.

I know what you’re thinking.

I really do have no life.

But it’s okay! Cause Harry Potter really is just that good.

So let’s get into the top 5 reasons why I love Harry Potter! 😁

1. Character Development

The character development of these movies is soooooooo good. Really. You can feel what each character is going through during their different struggles. The thing that really drew me to it was how outcast Harry is in the first movie. He’s gotten so used to his predicament with his aunt and uncle that he’s pretty much just done with trying to change things. He’s stuck and he knows it. And you can relate to him, and the others, so well.

2. Hogwarts

Every kid wants to be told they’re special, and getting a letter from Hogwarts does just that! Hogwarts is like the coolest school to be. The magic, the fun, the friends, the excitement, the community. It’s pretty great. I hated being in school, but if Hogwarts was really a thing, I would jump at the opportunity to go there!

3. Unique

It’s got to be a given that Harry Potter is one of a kind. True, there have been and probably will still be lots of magical/mythical shows and movies out there, but Harry Potter really was a masterpiece and it can’t be compared to anything else. Can you tell how much I love it yet?! πŸ˜‰ The names are so cool and different and the atmosphere is just so imaginative and awesome and it’s just incredible.

4. Quotes

I’d be lying if I said that I don’t regularly use Harry Potter quotes for inspiration. There are so many wise sayings in there. It’s not everyday that I quote movies, but… umm.. actually never mind, that’s a lie. haha πŸ˜‚ But seriously though, the quotes from those movies and the wisdom hidden in there is just amazing.

5. Hidden Plots

This post wouldn’t be complete without this point! Harry Potter is riddled with character twists and plot twists that it just makes it impossible to be predictable. And it all comes together in the end! Unless you’ve seen it before, never trust your first instinct about things in the movies. Cause you’re probably wrong. If I had a dime for every time I thought I knew what was coming next and turned out to be wrong, I’d be rich. Seriously.

I think most people will admit that Harry Potter is incredible. Pure genius. But just in case you haven’t seen it, I encourage you to go watch it. You won’t regret it!

If I had seen it in theaters, I would have spent the money to go see all the movies, in a row, if I could.

But ya know… I’m poor… so it’s probably good that I wasn’t able to do that. I really need to make time for another Harry Potter marathon though! I’m gonna go clear my calendar…πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‰πŸ˜Š
