Yes, I’m still here. It’s been awhile though! I mentioned in my last post (whenever that was 😬) that I was getting married. Well my friends, the deed is done… I did it! I’m now a married woman! That just sounds weird to me haha 😂
Anyhoo. I thought I might show y’all some of the pictures! Cause they look pretty darn good, if I do say so myself! annnnd I do…😋
This was the getting ready process.
Some prayer, because emotions. amiright?!
Justin’s dad actually walked me down the aisle. Not traditional, but tradition’s over-rated anyway. And yeah, I wore flats. Comfort over style, people!
Would you look at that veil?! #showstopper
Justin’s mom let me use her old wedding veil and it just made the whole look complete.
Part of the ceremony. Fun fact: my dress was only $20! I got it at Ross haha 😂
Of course, the moment we’ve all been waiting for… the kiss 😘
Lighting the unity candle. We weren’t sure if we were supposed to take the candles out of the holders or just pick up the whole thing, so we just picked up the whole thing! 👍
And the walkout!
Me and my bridesmaids
And Justin and his groomsmen
My husband and I! ☺️❤️😍
And that’s about the gist of it! There’s a whole bunch more pictures than just that of course, but it would just take too long of a post to post all 152 of them on here… so yeah…
My memory of the day is somewhat foggy. Try as I might to keep it a simple affair, it got blown up and I was very stressed through the whole thing. It was sweet, yes, but I was so glad when it was all over. I’ve never been a bridezilla, and even though some things didn’t turn out how I wanted them too, I went with it. Throughout our engagement, we’ve looked forward to the marriage part more than the wedding part. You know, the everyday ordinary tasks that you get to do together and even the not so fun stuff too.
Since then we’ve been on the road a lot and we’ve been packing up all of our belongings because we’re moving to Ohio! People keep telling us that we’ll come back to California, but I doubt it. We’re so excited and looking forward to when all the moving and traveling and everything is done and we can settle down into our new place together, with the dogs of course, and just live our lives peaceably for little while.
It’ll be our first Christmas together as a married couple and I cannot wait!! Also… it’s only like a 10 hour drive to New York… so, I mean… it’s totally worth it, right?! 😂
