I hate calling this a “self love” post, cause that sounds so mushy. Let’s call a motivational post. It’s a confidence post! 😉
I grew up in a relatively large family. My twin brother and I were the youngest of 8 kids. My older siblings, not all of them, but most of them, went through college and two of them now are very well established in their careers. There was always this indescribable pressure to live up to what they’d achieved.
But I’m just now learning that I don’t have to.
It’s great that they have all that stuff, that works for them.
But college, tedious levels of studying, a high-pressure job like an engineer and all that; it’s just not for me.
It’s another late post, but I had a good reason for not writing yesterday… I went to Las Vegas! I was there all day without my laptop, so I couldn’t write until today.
I’m a California girl, born and raised. Up until yesterday, I’ve never set foot outside the state line or hardly even traveled inside of California.
That thought makes me sad. I’ve always wanted adventure, to see the world. I’ve never really cared for it in California, so I’ve always dreamed of going elsewhere. But I’ve never had the chance.
Well Las Vegas is only like a 3-4 hour drive away, but it is in a different state, so that has to count for something! 😉
It’s late when I’m typing this, it’s like 11 pm. It’s been a long day, I’m really tired, and I can’t gather my thoughts very well. So if this post is a little odd, that’s why. 😉
But here goes.
You know how people always ask you if you’re a dog person or a cat person?
I always used to say that I liked dogs and cats equally and that I really just love all animals in general. I never wanted to be that person that didn’t like one animal in particular.
Is that weird?!
I missed writing my post on Saturday because I was so busy at work. I should have done it earlier in the week but I didn’t get around to it. So here it is, a whole two days late.
I’m sorry. Oops.
Buuut here ya go! I have a dilemma. A really, really serious dilemma…
I recently had to cut off a few inches from my hair just due to damage and all that. I actually didn’t really mind it that much though, it was nice to have a change.
I’m trying to grow out 5-6 years of hair dye/bleach damage and my roots are coming in strong! But I had a thought. As I’m growing it out, wouldn’t now be the perfect time to try a short hairstyle?!
Hey friends! It’s another favorites post!
I wanted to write about 5 of my favorite musicals, but I just couldn’t decide which ones I love the most! It was hard for me to pick just a few, but I finally narrowed it down to just 5. They aren’t in any specific order though because I love them all equally 😉
1. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
Who doesn’t love Willy Wonka?! I’m talking about the Gene Wilder rendition of course, because he is truly the only actor who was ever fit to play that role. I feel very passionate about this. But really though, a musical all about candy… What’s not to like!
